Riders for Health Yamaha Prize Draw 2023

Closing date and announcements

Prize draw closes on Sunday 26 November at Midnight. Winners will be announced by Friday 1 December 2023.

The prize draw starts on Friday 23 June 2023, and ends on Sunday 26 November 2023  and is subject to these terms and conditions.

THE PRIZES

The prizes as follows have been donated by different sponsors but the prizes will be organised by and all information communicated with the winners by the promoters, Two Wheels for Life:

  • B&B accommodation for 2 nights at  5* King Fahed hotel in Dakar, Senegal and airport transfers within Senegal.
    - provided by Africa Eco Race
  • Access to the end of Africa Eco Race paddock & podium at Lac Rose in Senegal 14 January 2024 plus meet and greet with Yamaha Ténéré World Raid team
    - provided by Yamaha Motor Europe.
  • Drinks in Dakar with Vanessa Ruck “The Girl on a Bike”
    -provided by Vanessa Ruck
  • Flights up to the value of £1500 (for both winners)
    - provided by Motor Sports Travel

WHO CAN ENTER

ALL entrants are deemed as accepting these terms and conditions.

Entrants must be aged 18 years or over.

Employees of Yamaha, Two Wheels for Life, Motor Sports Travel or the Africa Eco Race or close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisations cannot enter. 

HOW TO ENTER

The prize draw can only be entered via the YamahaforRiders.com website with a minimum ticket price of €10 or by post. See below:

It is possible to enter this prize draw for free.On a blank sheet of paper, or postcard, write your full name, postal address, email address, contact mobile number, country of residence and date of birth. Please post your entry to the charity Head Office and reference the name of the event - ‘Riders for Health Yamaha Prize Draw’ This needs to be written down in very clear writing, otherwise the entry may be deemed invalid. Please send the sheet of paper or postcard in an envelope to the charity Head Office via either first or second class post to: Riders for Health Yamaha Prize Draw, Two Wheels for Life, UK Eagle House, 28 Billing Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England, NN1 5AJ. A maximum of one entry can be made per postcard or envelope received. There is no limit to the number of entries that may be made this way. Postal entries have an equal chance of winning as any one paid entry. If a postal entry wins a prize there will be no further purchase or payment necessary to be notified of the win or to receive the prize. If the above steps are not followed as described then a postal entry will be invalid. You will not be notified if your entry is invalid. Postal entries are treated in exactly the same way as paid entries for the purposes of determining a winner. However, there is a difference in the deadlines for entries.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  1. The prize draw closes at midnight on 26 November and will be drawn by - 1st December 2023 at Midday.
  2. Motor Sport Travel (MST) will book the flights for the guests once the winners have been notified and accepted the prize. MST will work with the winners to assess the closest airport/best flight options and dates. MST will do their best to bring the cost of the flights in at the price agreed of £1500. But if the cost goes above this TWFL will cover these costs.
  3. If the winners want to stay in Senegal longer than the 2 days of the prize draw experience then that is possible at their own risk. The winners would book and pay for their own accommodation, meals and travel on these dates the guests would not be the responsibility of and no costs would be incurred by Two Wheels for Life, Yamaha, Motor Sports Travel or Africa Eco Race organisers or their partners.
  4. Two Wheels for Life and our Partners do not take responsibility for not being able to offer this part of the prize due to circumstances beyond the control of the teams or riders, such as the riders not being able to compete or finish the race for any reason, the cancellation of this race by the organisers or any other reasons we cannot fulfil this prize beyond our control such as flight cancellations of the winners. We reserve the right to change the accommodation provided.
  5. Entries will close on Sunday 26 November 2023 at Midnight. Entries received after this date and time will not be valid.
  6. Winners will be chosen at random. The winners will have 7 days to accept the prize after being contacted by Two Wheels for Life, or risk forfeiting to a new winner chosen at random
  7. There is no cash alternative available for this prize draw.
  8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  9. No responsibility can be accepted for entries where contact details were entered incorrectly.
  10. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the prize draw and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the prize draw will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  11. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this prize draw.
  12. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the prize draw will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  13. By participating in this prize draw, a participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  14. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by the United Kingdom’s law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
  15. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current United Kingdom data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  16. The winner’s name will be available 28 days after closing date by emailing the following address: info@twowheelsforlife.org
  17. Acceptance of the prize will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  18. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or any other Social Network.
  19. You are providing your information to Two Wheels for Life and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy. Any data collected during the prize draw will not be used for any purpose beyond selecting a winner and will be destroyed within one year of the termination of this competition  unless explicitly permission has been granted by the entrant.
  20. Two Wheels for Life shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
  21. Two Wheels for Life also reserves the right to cancel the prize draw if circumstances arise outside of its control.

Closing date and bidding winners announcement auctions

Check out on YamahaMotorforRiders.com what auctions are taking place and when they start and end. The entrant with the highest bid on one of the auctions will be the bidding winner and will be informed within 48 hours after the auction closing.

Terms and conditions

  1. The promoter is:

Two Wheels for Life is a charity which organises and promotes fundraising activities to support Riders for Health, an NGO that supplies, manages and maintains vehicles for health care in African countries.

Each auction (hereafter referred to as the “Auction”) starts and ends as announced on the YamahaMotorforRiders.com website and is subject to these Terms and Conditions.

AUCTION ITEMS

  1. The auction items (hereafter also referred to as “Auction Items”), have been donated by Yamaha Motor Europe and are as follows:
  • 2 guest tickets per the following 2023 WorldSBK rounds:
    1-2 Jul – UK round – Donington, UK
    29-30 Jul – CZ Round – MOST Autodrom, Czech Republic
    9-10 Sep – FR round – Magny-Cours, France
    23-24 Sep – ES Round – Motorland, Spain
    30 Sep-1 Oct – PT round – Autodrome International Algarve, Portugal

Include: access to the circuit on Saturday and Sunday of the concerned round, access to the paddock, lunch @ Yamaha hospitality and a pit lane tour.
Tickets do NOT include: travels of any kind to the circuit, (hotel) accommodation and evening meal.

Tickets include: access on Saturday and Sunday of the concerned round, lunch access to Yamaha hospitality paddock and a pit lane tour.
Tickets do NOT include: travels of any kind to the circuit, (hotel) accommodation and evening meal.

WHO CAN ENTER

  1. ALL entrants are deemed as accepting these terms and conditions.
  2. Entrants must be citizens of the European territory as per the most recent list of the United Nations, however, excluding Russia and Belarus and must be aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
  3. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that their country of residence legally allows entry into the auctions of this type.
  4. Employees of Two Wheels for Life, close relatives (a spouse; a parent; a child or sibling, or the spouse of any such person) and anyone otherwise closely connected with the organisation cannot enter.

HOW TO ENTER

  1. An Auction can be entered via the YamahaMotorforRiders.com website, filling in the information request form enabling the participant to be identified without dispute (surname, first name, email address, date of birth, telephone number) and bidding on one of the available auctions for a minimum starting bid of €100 for WorldSBK tickets and minimum €100 for MXGP tickets
  2. It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that these details are filled in correctly. Any incomplete registration will not be taken into consideration and no claim or liability of the Promoter/Organiser will be accepted if the entrant has given a wrong name, surname, email address or telephone number, or if the entrant cannot be informed of the result of his/her participation in the Auction due to an error in the information given at the time of registration.
  3. Bidding can be done anonymously or by display of the bidder’s entry name.
  4. There is no limit to the number of auctions you want to participate in and to the bidding per auction. 
  5. The entrant with the highest bid at the closing date and time of the auction (hereafter also referred to as “Bidding Winner”) is the winner of the items related to the concerned auction.

REDEEMING AUCTION ITEMS

  1. The Bidding Winner will be communicated via email by the Promoter within 48 hours after the concerned Auction’s closing date and time and requesting also some additional information such as transferring the bidded amount to Promotor’s bank account and the name and date of birth of the person who will accompany him/her to the concerned race.
  2. The Bidding Winner has 72hrs to respond to the Promoter's email and to transfer the bidded amount to the Promoter's bank account.
  3. The Promoter will only move to the tickets issuing procedure, if the Bidding Winner has responded to the Promoter's email and the winning bidding amount has been transferred to the Promoter's bank account within 72hrs after the Promotor’s email.
  4. If the Bidding Winner does not respond to the Promoter's email and/or the bidded amount has not been transferred to the Promoter's bank account within the indicated 72hrs the Auction Items will forfeit.
  5. The Auction Items – i.e. the two guest tickets of the concerned WorldSBK or MXGP round – are reserved strictly on name and can thus only be picked up by the Bidding Winner and his/her companion at the concerned circuit upon display of ID-card or passport. If the Bidding Winner and his/her companion cannot display such identification then the Auction Items will be forfeit.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  1. The entry with the highest bid at closing date and time of the concerned Auction will be notified within 48 hours after closing date and time of the Auction. All entrants will receive a notification email or text message from the Promoter, to inform if they made the winning bid.
  2. The Auction Items cannot be transferred to another person.
  3. The Auction Items cannot be exchanged for cash.
  4. No responsibility can be accepted for bids not received for whatever reason.
  5. No responsibility can be accepted for incorrectly entered contact details
  6. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend each Auction and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control. Any changes to the Auctions will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the Promoter.
  7. For experiences that cannot take place due to a race being canceled or any other event out of our control, winners will receive a full refund.
  8. The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate Auction Items details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with these Auctions.
  9. The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the Auction will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. By participating in the Auction, a participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  11. Upon registering to these Auctions, the Bidding Winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material/channels, as well as his/her entry. Any personal data relating to the Bidding Winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current United Kingdom data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  12. Acceptance of the Auction Items will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  13. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or any other Social Network.
  14. You are providing your information to the Promoter and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy. Any data collected during the Auctions will not be used for any purpose beyond determining the Bidding Winner and the execution of the delivery of the Auction Items, where deemed appropriate, and will be destroyed within one (1) year of the termination of this competition unless explicitly permission has been granted by the entrant.
  15. The Promoter shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
  16. The Promoter also reserves the right to cancel the Auction if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  17. The Auction and these terms and conditions will be governed by the United Kingdom’s law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom. The use of the Auction Items by the Bidding Winner is at the sole risk and responsibility of the Bidding Winner and the Bidding Winner agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless Promotor, Organiser and Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. and Promoter, Organiser and Yamaha Motor Europe N.V. are not liable for any damage, loss, cost and expense, causes of action or liabilities including, without limitation, deaths or personal injuries that may arise directly or indirectly out of or in relation to Auction Items.
